More than 850 students have graduated from the program, hailing from each region of the country. Y.E.S. alumni have gone on to become teachers, political leaders, dedicated public servants, and everything in between, each making an impact in their communities.
Every year 45 to 50 outstanding high school sophomores and juniors vie for the opportunity to travel to the nation’s capital where they participate in a week-long educational experience unlike anything else. Students engage with political leaders, visit historical monuments, and apply their skills in competitive debates, all to enrich and inspire the future of our nation. In addition to their time in Washington, D.C., participants compete for $40,000 in college scholarships as they go through the Y.E.S. program.
