Volunteer of the Week: Daniel Cloer

This week we recognize Chairman Daniel Cloer, volunteer of 13 years with the Smokey Mountain, North Carolina Friends of NRA!

During his service, Daniel has sold 70 banquet tickets raising $2,800, sold 6 sponsorships totaling $7,000, acquired multiple donations donations valued over $3,000, and arranged for underwriting of $8,000 dollars worth of items.



NRA Field Representative Doug Merrill shared, “Daniel is a great asset to the Friends of NRA program. He has high integrity and is well respected in his community and among Friends of NRA volunteers.  “Daniel has high integrity and is well respected in his community and among Friends of NRA volunteers."He's built the Smoky Mountain committee over the last several years, and through his work and dedication has more than doubled the amount raised through this event.

Daniel worked all of the gun shows in western North Carolina; not only selling raffle tickets for his event, but also as a gun show coordinator. Daniel has spent around 242 hours working on his event. He's also served as a delegate to the State Fund Committee for 3 years, to decide what grants should be supported. Daniel is a great leader and volunteer and the Smoky Mountain committee would not be the same without him.”
