Competing On New Levels

The 2016 NRA World Shooting Championship presented by Kimber and Nightforce is just around the corner!

Top shooters from around the world will gather at Peacemaker National Training Center in Glengary, WV September 15-17 to compete in almost every type of major firearms shooting sport including pistol, rifle, shotgun and combined firearm sports.

Throughout the weekend, shooters will progress through 12 stages to demonstrate their skills; having the opportunity to shoot 18 different types of firearms with all ammo provided.

Stages vary from Cowboy Action to America’s Rifle Match. On stage 2, NRA Precision, competitors will have the opportunity to shoot the Kimber Gold Match .45 ACP.

The Kimber Gold Match are the finest production pistols offered by Kimber. They feature a stainless steel match grade barrel that is machined oversized and then fitted by a hand in the Custom Shop for accuracy. Gold Match pistols deliver an unequaled standard or performance. They’re designed for competition, the accuracy and dependability of these pistols have made them a favorite for all-around use.

But firearms are not the only things competitors will have the opportunity to try and test. Sponsors like Nightforce will be providing optics for firearms.

You’ll get to test out Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42 F1at Stage 10, Designated Marksmanship Rifle (DMR) Challenge. This stage truly tests long range accuracy using an AR Platform semi-automatic rifle in .308 with optical sight. Targets will be placed somewhere between 200-800 yards.

The ATACR 4-16x42 F1 sets a new standard in mid-powered optics. With its capped windage adjustment to help prevent accidental adjustments while in the field, this compact yet powerful rifle scope also provides for fast hold-off adjustments and precise ranging calculations.

These are just a few of the many firearms, optics and gear you’ll be able to try if you register to participate in the 2016 NRA World Shooting Championship!

Registration for Amateur level is only $325. All equipment, ammo, optics, and everything needed to compete is provided and ready to go at the stage.

Each marksman is competing for their chance at $250,000 in cash and prizes but only one will be crowned the undisputed World Shooting Champion.

Think you have what it takes? Register today for your spot in this year’s exciting event and we’ll see you in September!
