Originally designed in the 1950s by the U.S. Air Force, the mid-weight MA-1 Flight Jacket has since become an American icon. From Cold War operatives to tough guys like Steve McQueen – it’s been a favorite of servicemen and civilians alike. The features that separate our version from the rest are the left and right concealment pockets that nicely mask your self-defense sidearm. The pockets’ Velcro® linings adapt to the included holster, which can be custom-positioned for your most comfortable, rapid draw. Snap closures keep your firearm secure during daily duties.  

The rest of the design remains true to the original.  A premium, water-resistant nylon exterior with a poly fiberfill lining makes up the meat and potatoes of the NRA MA-1 CCW Flight Jacket. Just like the original, the NRA version includes left sleeve utility pockets, a beefy brass zipper and knit collar, cuffs and waistband. We added an Old Glory patch on the left sleeve, and we even kept the hi-visibility orange lining as an emergency locater.
