2019 Great American Outdoor Show Media Advisory

General Information

  • Largest consumer outdoor show in the world.
  • 650,000 square feet of indoor floor space and nine exhibit halls.
  • Nearly 200,000 attendees over nine days.

Press Office
The Great American Outdoor Show Press Office is located in room Exhibit B in the Maclay Lobby of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.

Press Office/Credentials
Press Credentials for the Great American Outdoor Show can be picked up in the Press Office on Friday, Feb. 1, from 10am-4pm and during regular show hours Feb. 2-10. The Great American Outdoor Show Press Office is located in room Exhibit B in the Maclay Lobby of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Once you have secured credentials, please wear them at all times while attending the show. Press attending the show may use their company credentials or NRA issued credentials to gain access to and park in available spaces in the Maclay Street parking lot.

To request media credentials, please visit www.greatamericanoutdoorshow.org/media/, and complete and submit the form. You will be contacted with confirmation of your application if approved for credentials. Please note due to resource constraints, not all members of the media will receive media credentials. Credentials can be picked up in the press office beginning Feb. 1 from 10am-4pm and during regular show hours.

Child (6-12): $7.00
Children 5 and under: FREE with paid adult
Senior (65 or older): $12.00
2-Day Pass: $24.00
Group ticket: $12.00 (10 or more)
Afternoon Ticket: $8.00 (Valid 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Thursday Only)
Sunday Bounce Back: All tickets valued at $12 or more are eligible for "Bounce Back" on the last day of the show. Guests who bring a previous day’s ticket receive FREE admission on Sunday, Feb. 10.

NOTE: Guests who join the NRA or renew membership at the show receive a FREE one-day admission to the Great American Outdoor Show.

Events
Feb. 2-6: DockDogs:
The high-flying canine sensation returns to the Large Arena. Anyone who thinks their four-legged companion has what it takes to compete in one, two or all three of the DockDog events is eligible to participate! Open to spectators!

Feb. 2-6: PA Taxidermy Association Competition: Members of the PA Taxidermy Association, whether taxidermy professionals or simply hobbiests wanting to expand their opportunities, can showcase their best work to thousands of people each day. Spectators welcome to come by and see this amazing display of talent in the Large Arena.

Feb. 2-3, 9-10: Kids Casting Contest: Bring your young anglersages 7 to 15 to the Maclay Street Entrance to learn how to cast, pitch and flip a fishing rod from Pennsylvania Bass Federation volunteers, and then compete in a friendly contest. Every participant will walk away with a rod and reel, and winners proceed to the PA State cast-off!

Feb. 2-10: Spot Challenge: Test your archery skills with 30-shot rounds at 20 yards for the chance to win trophies and cash prizes. The Spot Challenge returns to the show for its second year in the Archery Range Hall.

Feb. 2-10: 3D Bowhunter Challenge: Showcase your archery skills in a dynamic 30-shot course for chance to win trophies and cash prizes.

Feb. 2-10: More than 200 seminars and demonstrations on hunting, fishing, cooking, and self/home defense, including several appearances by outdoor celebrities and experts.

Feb. 2-10: Wall of Guns: Play the odds in The NRA Foundation’s popular event sponsored by Henry Repeating Arms and Nine Line Apparel, and try to win your choice from more than 40 firearms!

Feb. 7: Friends of NRA Banquet: Celebrate American values at a family-friendly night of fundraising with chances to bid on and win unique firearms, merchandise and hunts. Special guest appearance by Phil Robertson of Duck Commander!

Feb. 9: NRA Country presents Lee Brice with special guests Easton Corbin and Tyler Farr in the NRA Country Concert at the Large Arena.

Feb. 2-10: Family Fun: The show features fun for the whole family! Youths can have fun at the Kids Trout Pond, the NRA Range Experience, the Rock Climbing Wall (Feb. 2-6), Chainsaw Demos (Feb. 2-6), the NRA Air Gun Range, Raptors Up Close seminars and the Eddie Eagle Kids Zone.
