Kids attending the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits this year are in for lots of fun and festivities at the Eddie Eagle Zone. Equipped with a range of engaging activities and exciting giveaways, the Eddie Eagle Zone will have everything needed to entertain the little ones as well as the tools to teach them firearm accident prevention through Eddie’s gun safety message: STOP! Don’t Touch. Run Away. Tell a Grown Up.
In addition to educational activities, there will be no shortage of opportunities for kids to let off some energy and get creative with a photo booth, face painting, crafts, and more. They’ll also be able to enjoy Eddie’s favorite game and shoot hoops with Wing Team basketballs! Plus, Eddie himself will be there to meet and take photos with his young fans and followers.
The Eddie Eagle Zone is completely free of charge, including the safety materials available for parents and grandparents to take home and learn more about gun safety. Kids will be able to leave with souvenirs of their own, too, including Eddie Eagle stuffed animals, Wing Team backpacks and bracelets, and fidget spinners.
This year, the anticipation around Eddie Eagle’s visit to NRA Annual Meetings is even greater as he prepares for an extra special celebration. Kids are invited to join the party at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 6, to celebrate Eddie’s 30th birthday! For three decades the Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program has been teaching firearm accident prevention, reaching more than 30 million kids with its lifesaving message.
So, make sure your trip to Dallas includes a stop at the Eddie Eagle Zone in the Lobby D area for a dose of family fun and firearms safety that will not disappoint!
