This week we recognize Chairman Joe Fackler, volunteer of Fall of the Ohio Friends of NRA.
Joe has been actively involved with Friends for the past three years setting goals and implementing creative initiatives with his team.
Just last year Joe sold 200 banquet tickets bringing in $20,000, raised $28,000 in pre and post-event raffles, arranged underwriting for six items totaling $4,500, and acquired seven donation valued over $3,000.
“Joe set high goals when he took over the committee to become number one in the nation,” said NRA Field Representative Craig Haggard. “He’s been working diligently to grow the committee’s corporate donor list to add different items to the auctions and raffles.”
From making personal visits to phone calls, Joe and his committee have been able to boost attendance to their banquet in a strategic way that’s proving to be successful for their events.
“Joe operates the Committee like a family business,” said Haggard. “His tactics in doing so have proven to be successful and the team works extremely well together – right down to the last detail.”
The committee loves a challenge and is constantly striving to improve. With Joe’s encouragement, the team has been implementing creative and unique changes to their event year after year.
Outside of banquet obligations, Joe is heavily involved in state fund committee meetings with an active role in the grant process. He also helps to train new chairman throughout the state of Indiana and is always on call to lend a helping hand where needed.
