This week we recognize Co-Chairman Ralph Parsons, volunteer of 4 years with the St. Maries, Idaho Friends of NRA!
During his service, Ralph has sold 36 banquet tickets which raised $1,440, sold 15 sponsorships totaling $8,545, raised $6,000 in pre and post-event raffles, and acquired multiple donations to support this event.
NRA Field Representative Steve Vreeland shared, “Under Ralph’s leadership, the committee set their sights on the High Caliber Club. They set goals for table sales instead of just ticket sales and they were sold out weeks before the event; this was a first for them. Ralph was not the 'top seller' on the committee, but it was through his leadership and motivation that the sales were made. “Ralph is good at setting goals and leading his fellow committee members to results beyond those goals."He's worked with the local paper to promote the Friends program and their event and shares the Friends of NRA message everywhere he goes.
Ralph worked 4 gun shows, made multiple gun club visits, got his committee to attend a neighboring Friends event, and had tables at multiple local outdoor events. Ralph is a great motivator and leader. He leads by example and never asks another to do what he isn’t willing to do himself. He sets goals and leads his fellow committee members to achieve them and overall is a valuable team member of the Idaho Friends of NRA program!"
