Volunteer of the Week: Pat Patterson

Volunteer of the Week: Pat Patterson

Our Volunteer of the Week is Co-Chairman Pat Patterson, volunteer of 4 years of the Southern Commonwealth & Greater Richmond, Virginia Friends of NRA

During his service, Pat has sold 224 banquet tickets raising $11,200, sold 30 sponsorships totaling $30,000, raised $10,000 in pre and post-event raffles, and acquired 12 donations valued over $7,000.

When asked about Pat, NRA Field Representative David Wells told us:

“Pat Patterson is extremely dedicated to the Friends of NRA program, and believes in its mission. He is well liked and respected in the community, and knows everybody!

"Pat is constantly working to recruiting more volunteers, finding new events to support, and helping with Raffle and game ideas around the state."Pat, has that competitive personality that drives him to be #1, he wants to WIN, and raising the most money for grants is his “game”; The Friends program and the many programs we support end up being the ultimate winner! Pat spends over 700 hours annually to support this and other events. He also attends and helps out with several area Friends events, and works several gun show raffles throughout the year.

In addition to normal help on the banquets, Pat is constantly working to recruiting more volunteers, finding new events to support, and helping with Raffle and game ideas around the state. Pat is also active on the VA State fund committee. He and his wife Joan are co-hosting the 1st Virginia Defend America Event, and although he is listed as co-host, he is responsible for the actual “Hosting “of this event.”
