Volunteer of the Week: John Goddard

 Our Volunteer of the Week is Chairman John Goddard, volunteer of 5 years of the Illinois - Two Rivers Friends of NRA!

During his service, John has sold over 100 banquet tickets to bring in $3,600, sold a sponsorship to bring in $250, acquired over 12 donations amounting to $1,000, and raised $13,000 in pre-raffle sales.

When asked about John, NRA Field Representative Don Higgs told us, "John has been instrumental by stepping forward to assist other committees. He single handedly recruited a group from another area to form a Friends of NRA committee and conduct their first event this year. Without John's constant persistence, this would not have happened. “John has a unique ability to keep everyone on the right path. He demonstrates leadership at its best!” Because of John's work, his committee has successfully reached an all time high in attendance and funds raised at their events. Additionally, because John and his team organized pre-raffles, his committee reached the High Caliber Club for the first time! John is very involved with the grant process. As a part of his local gun club, he continuously promotes the shooting sports and the Friends of NRA to our youth. He educates many people by providing details on how they can be involved and engaged. John truly understands the bigger picture and sets his sights on obtaining the very best for the overall good of the NRA Foundation.
