The NRA Foundation and NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund Join #GivingTuesday

FAIRFAX, VA – The NRA Foundation and NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund have joined thousands of other nonprofit organizations in the fundraising campaign #GivingTuesday.  Occurring this year on December 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

“The NRA Foundation and Civil Rights Defense Fund are excited to participate in #GivingTuesday, an initiative for individuals to show their support for their favorite charities,” said William Dailey, Chairman of the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund. “We encourage those who want to protect our Right to Bear Arms to donate to the NRA’s charities on Tuesday, December 1. It’s all about freedom!”

Individuals interested in donating to The NRA Foundation and the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund may go to www.nrafoundation.org/donate or www.nradefensefund.org/donate.aspx. About The NRA Foundation
Established in 1990, The NRA Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. These activities are designed to promote firearm and hunting safety, to enhance marksmanship skills of those participating in the shootings sports, and to educate the general public about firearms in their historic, technological, and artistic context.  More information about The NRA Foundation can be found online at www.nrafoundation.org.

About the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund
The NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund was established by the NRA Board of Directors in 1978 to become involved in court cases establishing legal precedents in favor of gun owners. To accomplish this, the Fund provides legal and financial assistance to selected individuals and organizations defending their right to keep and bear arms. Additionally, the Fund sponsors legal research and education on a wide variety of firearms related issues, including the meaning of the Second Amendment and nature of the right to keep and bear arms provisions in state constitutions.
