For the past three seasons you've watched as they've traveled from one end of the United States to the other reviewing firearms, telling their history and placing a value on that treasured heirloom.

Raton, New Mexico - Last night’s Curator’s Corner featured two incredible examples of early European craftsmanship; the wheellock and Miquelet rifles.

“These type of guns, this era of guns, are actually very hard to acquire,” said NRA Museums Director Jim Supica.

Joined by Whittington Center Executive Director Wayne Armacost inside the Frank Brownell Museum of the Southwest, Supica anxiously sat by as Armacost broke down the older model of the two; an Italian wheellock.

Raton, New Mexico - “I walked in the door and it just blew me away.”

Those are the words of Jim Supica, director of NRA Museums, when it comes to the subject of today’s Curator’s Corner on Sportsman Channel … a .22 Browning Rifle.

But it’s not the gun that caught Supica’s attention, it was the engraving.

Fairfax, Virginia - When NRA Museums Director Jim Supica trolls the aisle of Tulsa Gun Show for potential finds, odds are he's going to come back with something special. For this week's edition of Curator's Corner, he arrives with a splash of European excellence.

"These are historic guns from a very fascinating period of firearms evolution," Supica said. "In the 1860s, it was all about Colts & Winchesters here in the U.S., but there was a whole development going on in Europe with military rifles in particular.

From Bass Pro Shops - Jim Supica to share highlights of the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum on Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World radio

In the first year, over 375,000 visitors flock to the new museum, located at Bass Pro Shops flagship store in Springfield, Missouri, to see rare, historical firearms.

The NRA National Sporting Arms Museum, which opened a year ago this month at Bass Pro Shops flagship Springfield, Missouri, store, will be featured on Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World radio. Jim Supica, NRA’s director of museums, will share the stories of the museum’s most rare, historical treasures, which have attracted over 375,000 visitors to date. The show will air Saturday, Aug 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time on RURAL RADIO’s SiriusXM channel 80.

Grizzly Adams brought a Henry Rifle on to Curator's Corner

Tulsa, Oklahoma - When you're walking around a gun show, odds are the biggest surprise is going to come in something smooth and steel. But at the Tulsa Arms Show, the boys from NRA News happened upon another surprise - Grizzly Adams.

For those of you under the age of 30, Grizzly Adams was a television show in the late 70s. Traveling along with his sidekick Ben - a full adult grizzly bear - Adams battled the bad guys, protected the weak, and luxuriated in the great outdoors. Played by Dan Haggerty, the short run show developed a cult like following long since it left the airwaves.
