And as we inch closer to another blistering winter, you should make the most of the good weather while it lasts. For all the firearms enthusiasts out there, why not bring the whole family out for some fun on the range at a Brownells/NRA Day?. They're all over the United States and a bunch are coming up this fall. From seasoned shooters to novices, there's something for everybody.

NRA Days are based on themes that teach a variety of shooting sports activities. But we don't mean you'll be spending hours in the classroom. Activities are hands-on and allow the whole family to discover the shooting sports in a safe, controlled environment.

Events are always a big hit and full of extremely friendly and helpful people. Don't be afraid to bring the whole family because there's something for everyone.

Not every NRA Day is the same. Each one is based on a theme that dictates what activities are held and the firearms present. A NRA Day one weekend could be completely different from one a week later in the same state. Regardless of the theme, though, you'll definitely have a great time getting some hands-on opportunities with firearms and meeting other shooting sports enthusiasts. 13,138 attendees enjoyed a Brownells/NRA Day event with something for everyone in 2012

Brownells/NRA Day program grows by 11% in 2012

Fairfax, Virginia - The Brownells/NRA Day program had a pretty good year in 2012. The event for adults, youth, families, hunters, sportsmen, competitors - literally everyone - to come together and learn about, experience, and share their appreciation of the shooting sports saw attendance grow by 11%. From the nearly 130 events held, 13,138 participants had a weekend they won't soon forget.

Held in throughout the United States, NRA Day is program about discovery. Events are set up around themes that provide exposure to the different activities available in shooting sports (e.g. pistol, muzzleloader, shotgun, high power rifle, etc.). Most importantly, the program offers participants a safe, controlled environment for their day of fun.
