Houston, Texas - Looking back, our three days in Texas felt more like an afternoon at Six Flags than the Annual Meetings & Exhibits of the NRA. There we games to play, a top line comedian, prizes to win, activities for the kids as well as a concert or two. And that's before we get to the good stuff.

Houston, Texas - This year's exhibit hall at the NRA Annual Meeting in Houston was our biggest ever.

Sporting 440,000 square feet of space and over 550 exhibitors, convention attendees could, and did, spend multiple days exploring the products of every major firearm company in the country, book the hunt of a lifetime in the exclusive outfitter section and view priceless collections of firearms in the gun collector area. Visitors could also see knives, wildlife art, shooting accessories, hunting gear, ATV's, and much more.

Houston, Texas - If ever there was a man who knew how to close a show, it would be a man who decades worth of high energy, spine tingling, Motor City Madness under his belt. Luckily enough … we had one of those.

In a session titled Freedom is not Free - Replaying our debt to Heroes, Ted Nugent took to the stage. In the blink of an eye, fans rose from their chairs and pounded their hands in a welcoming gesture of praise and thanks to the Whackmaster … he did not disappoint.

Houston, Texas - All good things must come to an end, and the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits are no exception. Even though Sunday is the last day of this year's convention, there is no lack of things to do and see before leaving Houston.

Houston, Texas - The 2013 National Rifle Association Annual Meetings & Exhibits President David Keene's last as his two-year term expires at the end of the weekend. The 2013 National Rifle Association Annual Meetings & Exhibits will be the last for President David Keene. Not the last he shall attend, but his last as President. Keene's two-year term will expire at the NRA Board of Director's Meeting on Monday.

Taking over for Keene will be current NRA's First Vice President, Birmingham, Alabama attorney James W. Porter II. A longtime NRA Board member and Second Amendment activist, Porter has accomplished immeasurable good for the Second Amendment and the NRA. He also has a bit of a competitive shooting background.

Houston, Texas - Regardless of your age, one of the most fun activities at an NRA Annual Meeting is the Pyramyd Air Gun Range. Located on the third floor in room 310, the range provides the perfect opportunity to plink a few shots off. (And rest your weary legs.)

Sporting the latest and greatest in air rifles and air pistols, this convention center room has been converted to a 10-meter air gun range with over a dozen lanes. Does that sound like fun? Of course it does.
