Frederick, Maryland - Feast your eyes on some photos of the NRA Great American Hunting & Outdoor Show's first day. This show has it all. Held in seven buildings on the Frederick Fairgrounds, there are over a hundred vendors with anything an outdoors enthusiast could want. Guns, bows, feed, taxidermy, clothing, optical gear, jerky, calls, tractors and more. There's plenty of fun for the whole family between the LaserShot video game, scavenger hunt, or just plain hanging out.

Frederick, Maryland hosts your NRA-filled weekend of hunting and outdoor gear
Frederick, Maryland - It may be snowing, but the doors are open for the NRA Great American Hunting & Outdoor Show here at the Frederick Fairgrounds. A little inclement weather isn't stopping the outdoor enthusiasts of the Mid-Atlantic from pouring through the doors and getting their fill of the industry's latest gear, or booking a great hunt through one of the many outfitters.
Throughout seven buildings are over a hundred vendors selling just about everything. Guns, bows, retriever training, taxidermy, clothing, optical gear, jerky, summer camps, tractors and more. It's all here - really. A lot of them are even raffling away free gear and services! Why are you not here already?!

Fairfax, Virginia - Tomorrow marks the return of the NRA Great American Hunting & Outdoor Show to the Frederick Fairgrounds in Maryland. If you call yourself a hunting or outdoor enthusiast, live in the mid-Atlantic region and don't make it out... we don't know what to tell you. With vendors and activities for the whole family, you'll have to come up with a pretty good excuse to miss this one.

Come one come all to Frederick, Maryland for the 4th Annual NRA hunting show
Fairfax, Virginia - We're just over a week away from the 4th Annual NRA Great American Hunting & Outdoor Show. Returning to the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, Maryland, the show definitely bigger and even better than last year. If you're a hunting and outdoors enthusiast in the mid-Atlantic states, you're going to want to be in line January 25th. The show is also a great place to bring the whole family; it's free for kids 9 and under.
Several of our great NRA programs will have booths at the show, like Women On Target Hunts, the NRA Training Department, the National Firearms Museum, Maryland Friends of NRA and more. This may be our show, but we aren't the only ones there. On the floor you'll also find firearms manufacturers, guide services, outfitters, hunting equipment, taxidermists just to name a few. Between all the booths and seminars lined up, there's something for everyone.

See world famous deer mounts at Pennsylvania Outdoor Show

- We told you yesterday about the multiple NRA appearances at the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show
in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. What we didn't tell you, however, was what the different parts of the NRA was putting on display. NRAblog is giving away prizes, Membership is signing up people for memberships and Hunter Services has the Great American Whitetail Collection on display.
Mounts that make up the collection represent "some of the most famous and highest-scoring whitetails in the world." Pieces include the Melom Buck (286-4/8 on the Boone & Crockett Club scale), Vakoch's Buck (41 points from Norman County, Minnesota) and Ohio's "Hole in the Horn" (328 2/8 on the Boone & Crockett with a 33" spread.)
NRA's Hunter Services Department is back on the road this weekend as they head south, bringing the Great American Whitetail Collection to the Greenville Mall in Greenville, Mississippi.
The amazing display shows fiberglass reproductions of some of the largest trophy bucks in the entire world, guaranteed to awe any hunting enthusiast. You can check out these incredible whitetails on Saturday, September 25th in the mall from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Kopp Buck, pictured at right, is just one example of the racks on display.
Back on the East Coast, other members of the Hunter Services staff are the Frederick County Fair in Maryland to promote the 2011 NRA Great American Hunting and Outdoor Show, so stop by their booth to pick up promotional giveaways, purchase show t-shirts, or just to say hello.
With hunting season right around the corner, many outdoorsmen and women are ready to get in the field and set their sights on a trophy buck. If you need a little a little inspiration before your big hunt, come out to the Virginia Outdoor Sportman Show
this weekend in Richmond, Virginia, to see some of the world's most amazing whitetails.
One of the newest whitetails in the collection is the Melom Buck (shown at left) from Alberta, Canada, which scored a 268-4/8 on the Boone & Crockett scale for non-typical whitetails.
NRA's Hunter Services Department will be at the event from August 13-15 to showcase the Great American Whitetail Collection, which is a display of some of the highest-scoring whitetails in the world. These are the kind of whitetails every hunter dreams of, so check them out in person and tour the show to see the latest in outdoor products and services.
