Volunteer of the Week: Bob Barnett

This week we recognize Chairman Bob Barnett, volunteer of 3 years with the Hernando County, Northern Florida Friends of NRA!

During his service, Bob has sold 100 banquet tickets which raised $5,000, sold several sponsorships totaling $1,600, raised $7,500 in pre and post-event raffles, acquired 10 donations for the event, and arranged for underwriting of items valued over $1,500.




NRA Field Representative Bret Eldridge shared, “Bob is one of the hardest working volunteers in the Northern Florida area. He has spent more than 300 hours making his event a great success. Bob takes his responsibility as chairman very seriously and works with his committee to build the event and to share their passion about Friends of NRA. H“Bob is all about doing the best job, that includes trying new ideas, having constant dialog, and making everyone feel welcomed at the event. e is all about doing the best job, and for him this includes trying new ideas, having open and constant communication with his committee, and making everyone on the committee and at the event feel welcomed and appreciated.

Bob has also attended all the Northern Florida workshops to ensure that he has the latest information and to learn new ways to grow events. He also promotes Friends of NRA through radio appearances. He gets what Friends is all about and works hard to promote the future of the shooting sports.”
