Volunteer of the Week: James Tooker

Volunteer of the Week: James Tooker

Our Volunteer of the Week is Chairman James Tooker, volunteer of 3 years of the West Palm Beach, Florida Friends of NRA

During his service, James has sold 260 banquet tickets bringing in $13,000, sold 13 individual sponsorships totaling $25,400, raised $5,044 in pre and post-event raffles, and acquired in excess of 45 donations amounting over $7,500.

When asked about James, NRA Field Representative Tom A. Knight told us: “Since Jim came on board as the chairman in 2012, this committee has become a high caliber committee, and each and everyone on the committee will point to Jim as the reason why. He is very well respected not only by the other committee members but the attendees and others in his community. Jim and his committee are very involved in the Eddie Eagle program in Palm Beach County. They do several programs a year where they bring Eddie and get involved in the community. Jim also serves as a delegate on the State Fund Committee.
"He endlessly gives of his time and resources and does so with true dedication to the program."
Jim Tooker exemplifies what a Friends of NRA Volunteer should be. He endlessly gives of his time and resources and does so with true dedication to the program and with pleasure. Jim works tirelessly 25 to 30 hours a week on making his banquet the best it can be. Not only does Jim do everything that needs to be done to put on the banquet and make it a success; he also hand makes 20 to 30 items in his wood working shop to donate to the banquet.”
