Volunteer of the Week: David Henry

Volunteer of the Week: David Henry

Our Volunteer of the Week is Chairman David Henry, volunteer of 8 years of the Washington County, Arkansas Friends of NRA

During his service, David has sold 60 individual banquet tickets bringing in $1,500, sold 2 individual sponsorships and 12 business sponsorships totaling $12,300, and arranged underwriting for a $2,500 item.

When asked about David, NRA Field Representative Erica Willard-Dunn told us: “David has rebuilt this committee over 2015. He attended 6 other Friends of NRA events to help out, worked 3 booth events, and increased revenue at the local event. He has gone above and beyond to support the program and is a top volunteer. David has spent well over 150 hours preparing for his committee’s event this year. David and his outstanding committee set an all-time record in table sales of 28 corporate tables in Arkansas at his event. David started a tradition at each event purchasing an item off the live auction to present in honor to our oldest veteran in the room. This is a direct reflection of the honor and respect our Arkansas Friends of NRA family has for the men and women that have served our country. We have carried on this tradition at many events!
"David and his committee are a direct reflection of what being a Friends of NRA family is all about!"

David takes time out of running his roofing business to dedicate support and ensure growth of the local Washington County Friends of NRA. He travels to multiple banquets with his son Alex and is always there to step up and lend a hand to other committees. His wife Christy also travels to events and they support this program as a family! This program’s “heart beat” is the drive, passion and dedication of our volunteers. David and his committee are a direct reflection of what being a Friends of NRA family is all about!”
