Volunteer of the Week: Ron Pereira

 Our Volunteer of the Week is Chairman Ron Pereira,volunteer for 15 years of the Los Banos, California Friends of NRA! 

During his service, Ron has sold 30 banquet packages totaling $44,70o and donated over 200 hours to this committee.

When asked about Ron, NRA Field Representative Bob Anderson told us: “Ron is a man of utmost integrity and a strong leader, who, for fifteen years, has led and trained a solid committee which grows with additional members every year or two.  His family is the backbone of the committee, but through his knowledge of many parts of the Los Banos community he has found numerous people who are as dedicated to the Friends of NRA cause as he is.  Ron has consistently gathered a packed house with generous NRA members and patriots who understand the good works the Friends of NRA supports. Ron has been a delegate to the State Grant Committee since he came on board; he is always prepared for the meeting and is focused on the Friends of NRA mission in all his votes.

Ron is also on the Board of Directors and is the Treasurer of the Los Banos Sportsman's Association and spends a great deal of time with their youth programs throughout the year. Ron is truly, the steady, always on point, long-haul volunteer, never the hot shot, never the one-year hero. Ron is the epitome of the purposeful volunteer who strives for improvement every year. This dedicated, focused, service deserves its reward.  Now is the time to demonstrate our gratitude for Ron Pereira's whole-hearted service to the Friends of NRA as the 2015 Volunteer of the Year. “
