Volunteer of the Week: Mark McDonald

Volunteer of the Week: Mark McDonald

Our Volunteer of the Chairman Week is Mark McDonald, volunteer for 4 years of Burnet County Texas Friends of NRA!

During his service, Mark has sold 27 banquet tables and 98 individual tickets, bringing in $17,420; raised $25,800 in pre-event raffles, $25,960 in post-event raffles, and two Wall of Guns; and acquired 15 donations amounting to $3,800.

When asked about Mark, NRA Field Representative Liz Foley told us,  “Mark has been with the committee since its’ inception in 2012. Under his leadership, this committee's efforts has increased the net amount raised each year, reaching $71,400 in 2015. Mark contributes 500+ hours to his events annually. Mark attends all volunteer workshops and is constantly recruiting and training new volunteers and supporting current ones. Mark works hard to promote new grants and makes sure to coordinate media for both grants and events.

“Mark goes above and beyond to succeed. He is truly cause driven!"
Mark goes above and beyond to succeed. He is truly cause driven and does not let ego get in the way of success. He not only approaches each activity with a plan to succeed but with the enthusiasm needed to ensure success. He is willing to learn, change, adapt, and listen to others ideas. He is positive and fun to work with; he is the driving force locally. Mark is the type of volunteer you wish you could clone!"
