Local affiliate highlights the men and women competing for a NRA National Rifle title
Bristol, Indiana - A little recognition never hurts.
And when a few hundred competitors made up of Olympic medalists, collegiate athletes and regional champions roll into a town with a population of 1,600, the local media tends to take notice.
So when Daryl Bjoraas from the local ABC affiliate arrived on the Wa Ke' De Rifle Range yesterday, we were happy to show him around. A few interviews and a boatload of B-roll later, the above piece hit the Bristol airwaves.
"I think it's great that we have a national championship here in Bristol," said Bjoraas. "That's why I thought it was an important story to cover."
Speaking to Ohio State alumni Greg Drowns, TCU's Katie Bridges, George Norton of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and Olympic gold medalist Lones Wigger, Bjoraas highlighted a large swath of this year's shooters.
