Single largest firearms contribution in NRA Foundation history raises $75,000
Fairfax, Virginia - Century International Arms, Inc., helped out this year's NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Indianapolis in a big way. The generous firearms manufacturer donated 41 guns to the NRA Foundation, which went on to bring in a combined $75,000 from the National NRA Foundation Banquet and Auction and the popular Wall of Guns raffle.
“The NRA Foundation has never received a donation like this before. We were overwhelmed by Century Arms’ generosity,” said Western Regional Director of NRA Field Operations Brad Kruger, who organized the donation. “The inclusion of these firearms helped this year’s NRA Annual Meetings to be the most successful in The NRA Foundation’s 24 years.”
The NRA Foundation was so impressed with Century Arms’ donation that a special Draw of the Century side raffle was set up at the Wall of Guns (Indiana raffle license #0034). Featuring Century Arms firearms exclusively, tickets to the special raffle carried over to successive drawings unlike in Wall of Guns where all tickets are removed at the end of a round.
The donation included some of Century Arms’ bestselling guns, including the popular American-made Centurion 39 Sporter; a fully equipped Canik 55 Model TP-9 9mm; the Catamount Fury and Lynxx 12 ga. shotguns; a C39 Micro AK Pistol; and a C93 rifle in .223. Century Arms even included four of their new stand-up gun cases.
“Century Arms is so proud to help The NRA Foundation protect our country’s shooting heritage,” said Century International Arms Chairman Michael Sucher. “The funds raised through this donation will go a long way towards ensuring our children grow up to have the same freedoms we enjoy today.”
The NRA Foundation is America’s leading charitable organization in support of the shooting sports. Since its inception in 1992, The NRA Foundation has funded more than 30,500 grants, totaling $230 million in support of the shooting sports, hunting and defense of the Second Amendment.
Thank you, Century Arms. The money raised through your donated firearms will go a long way toward ensuring that was pass our shooting sports heritage down to the next generation.
