First time female shooters learn rifles, pistols, shotguns and more at NRA's Women on Target clinic

Fairfax, Virginia - Earlier this week, we told you about the Women's on Target clinic held at the Arlington Fairfax Chapter of the Izaak Walton League. What you told us is more. Let's see the ladies out there busting clays, tuning up targets and having an all around good time. Well we're not about to disappoint.

So after culling through a few hundred pictures, 800 to be exactly, I came up with 35 that tell the whole story.

What story? The story of how it can be safe, fun and exciting to spend a day learning about firearms — because that's just what Women on Target is all about.

More than 3,000 Women on Target events held over the past thirteen years. That translates into an overall attendance of nearly 100,000 women. So popular are the events that a number of the clinics have a year long waiting lists; well worth the wait for these excited shooters.

Just like the ones you see below.
