Wondering what to do today at the NRA Convention? We've got Governors, workshops and more ...

9 acres of guns at the NRA Convention in Indy

Indianapolis, Indiana - Day one at the 2014 NRA Annual Meeting was a doozy. Hundreds of thousand of members traveling from across the United States to celebrate a taste of the freedom they hold so dear. And boy were they rewarded. In addition to the hundreds of vendors lining the halls and walkways of the Indiana Convention Center, there were workshops, seminars and a little thing we like to call the NRA Country Jam.

Though there wasn't room for everyone to enjoy everything, that doesn't mean there isn't more fun, informative, and potential lifesaving experiences waiting to be had. Some are more fun than lifesaving, but that doesn't mean one should be pushed aside in favor of the other. We leave that choice up to you.

So, without any further adieu, here are six things to wet your beak for Saturday's celebration of the Second Amendment.

The Survival Mindset: Are you Prepared workshop

If you're going to learn about survival, who better to lead the way than a retired Sergeant Major from Delta Force? That's exactly who we have lined up.

Reaching back into his experience from five tours in Iraq and as a member of the battle portrayed in Blackhawk Down, Lamb passes on the lessons he learned from before, during, and after the fight.

That's Survival Mindset at 2:00pm in rooms 133-135. If there's a chance you'll ever wind up in a life or death situation, then this is a workshop that you can't afford to miss.

The Annual Meeting of Members If you want to know what NRA Leadership is thinking when it comes to our current fight to support the Second Amendment then the Meeting of Members is the place to be. Hear from Wayne LaPierre, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris Cox, NRA President James Porter and more as they layout our plan of attack for the 2014 congressional elections.

Thousands will head into the Sagamore Ballroom at 10:00am for a review of 2013, where we're headed this year, and exactly how the NRA is going to battle Bloomberg and his allies in our fight from your 2nd Amendment rights.

NRA Certified Instructor Update The education and training courses provided by the NRA are an ever-evolving beast. That's why our training is the best in the world.

Always refining and always evolving, our courses provided the latest in safety, groundbreaking techniques and methods to encourage your students to keep coming back for more. With trainers brought in from all across the country, this is your chance to discover how the best of our best engage their students, drive home the lessons, and create the safest, most efficient bunch of pupils around.

The Wall of Guns.

For $20 a ticket you earn a 1-in-100 chance of winning one of the more than 80 guns lined up in the custom case built by Legacy Outdoors. Rifles, pistols, shotguns … the whole shebang. And the fun doesn't stop there.

We have packages. Packages that enter you into more than one raffle at a time. Sure, they go for more than the standard $20 ticket, but why wouldn't they? We're talking value here!

Standing out in front of rooms 139 & 140 in the Indiana Convention Center, you'll see our orange-shirted volunteers, hear the call to join in, and feel the pull to be part of the Wall of Guns.

Refuse to be a Victim

If you know anything about our Refuse to be a Victim class then you know it's an essential part in your self-protection toolbox. And as strange as it might sound, Refuse is one of the few non-firearm related classes taught by the NRA.

Learn where to park, where to walk, how to handle your internet experiences and burglar-proof the home. The little things that will make you just a little safer with every step you take.

Kicking off at 1:00pm in Room 232, Refuse to be a Victim is a four hour investment in living a more secure and protected life.

The Stand and Fight Rally

The granddaddy of them all.

NRA's Stand and Fight Rally is brining the biggest names in the business to the Lucas Oil Stadium for a Saturday night to remember.

Iconic figures like Colonel Oliver North and our favorite momma grizzly Governor Sarah Palin will bring you to your feet with their message for our troops in the fight for the Second Amendment. And once you're on your feet, odds are you're going to stay there. Why is that? Because we have Country Music royalty waiting in the wings.

After hearing multi-time Female Vocalist of the Year award winner Sara Evans belt out her collection of hits, its time for the music and melodies that are Alabama.

With 43 No. 1 singles under their belt, legendary country super group Alabama takes the stage with a promise to provide an unparalled night of musical memories. Who doesn't remember hits like “Tennessee River," "Song of the South," and "Dixieland Delight"? Now it's time to experience those hits all over again.

Sarah Palin and Alabama on a Saturday night. Who else besides the NRA can give you that?
