Top pistol shooters from colleges around the country come to NRA Championships in Georgia

Columbus, Georgia - NRA's 2014 Intercollegiate Pistol Championships opened this week at Fort Benning's Pool Indoor Range. A gathering of the top nation's top collegiate club pistol shooters, this year's championship is filled with possibilities.

New shooters and grizzled veterans (grizzled at the ripe old age of 21 mind you) are competing in six overall events: Women's Air Pistol, Women's Sports Pistol, Free Pistol, Air Pistol - Open, Standard Pistol and Sport Pistol. The top eight shooters are gathered at the firing line for the finals and ten shots later we have a winner.
