The application process is highly competitive and consists of a Second Amendment essay, personal statement, high school transcript and three recommendations.
If you're from Alaska, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia, there's a state Y.E.S. program you need to go through first. Learn about them here.
Although a lot of Y.E.S. applicants have prior experience with the shooting sports, it's not required to be accepted. Your application is judged solely on GPA, well-roundedness of activities, your Second Amendment essay, Personal Statement and recommendations.
