Club Awards winners invited to NRA's Fall Board of Directors Meeting in Northern Virginia

NRA Club Awards

Fairfax, Virginia - As the year rolls down to an unavoidable end, there are still a number of housekeeping duties for NRA Program Managers to handle. Scores from the year's final matches to be calculated, certification for our most recent instructors to be (for lack of a better word) certified, and prizes for the top clubs of the year to distributed.

Didn't know that we handed out prizes to our clubs every year? Well we do.

"Not everyone knows about these awards, which is a shame," said NRA Sports Marketing Manager Son Nguyen. "Especially since the winners get more than just a plaque to put on their wall."

What else do the winners get? How about a free year of club membership? A featured article in NRA Sports Magazine? A free range evaluation from a certified NRA Range Team Adviser? And that's not even the best one.

"Winners also get an all expenses paid visit to Washington, DC."

Just in time for the NRA Fall Board of Directors Meeting, award winners will be brought out to Northern Virginia to tour the National Firearms Museum, shoot on the NRA Headquarters Range, attend the President's Reception at the Board Meeting, and enjoy a driving tour highlighting some of the historic sites and places of interest in Washington, DC.

So what awards are we talking about? These awards:

  • The Donn C. DiBiasio Outstanding Club Award: presented to the club that has demonstrated noteworthy achievement in all aspects of club operation.
  • The Outstanding Youth Club Award: presented to the club that has demonstrated noteworthy achievement in all aspects of club operation.
  • The Outstanding State Association Award: presented in honor of a State Association's effectiveness in carrying out the purposes and objectives of the National Rifle Association in the state or territory for which the State Association is organized.
  • The Public Service Award: presented to the individual whose volunteer activities have been instrumental in promoting objectives of the NRA on a NATIONAL level or whose activities have had a NATIONAL impact on the shooting sports.

Deadline for entries is December 1. That means, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, that you better get that application in right away.
