A Star of a Different Stripe for the 4th of July

NRA Store breaks out a new Stars and Stripes ball cap for the 4th of July weekend

NRA Store's Dirk Grove decided to look for something special this year's 4th of July weekend. So what did he find? A NRA Stars and Stripes Hat.

Fairfax, Virginia - As the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day, the NRAstore unveils its new Stars and Stripes hat. Its bold, patriotic color scheme prompted us to do a little research into the Founding Fathers’ thought processes while they were designing the first American flag.

In fact, America’s first leaders allowed the flag’s innate symbolism to remain a mystery for almost five years after its adoption. It was not until 1782 that Charles Thompson, Secretary of the Continental Congress, revealed its true meaning:

White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness and valor, and Blue…signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice.

Our Stars and Stripes hat embodies all those uniquely American characteristics, and more. The bright, patriotic splash of red, white and blue on the bill is accompanied by an intricately embroidered NRA eagle, complete with our organization’s famous crossed rifles. The NRA block letters appear on a red fabric tab, solidifying the NRA’s indivisible connection to American history, and its position as a profoundly patriotic institution. On the rear, “NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION” appears in a graceful arc.

The 100% cotton NRA Stars and Stripes Hat is the ideal way to keep the sun out of your eyes, while you look toward the future and pay respect to the past. You can get one of your very own, along with over a thousand other NRA branded products, at
