NRA Foundation Banquet auction item on display in NRA Annual Meeting exhibit hall

NRA Foundation Diamondback airboat NRA Annual Meeting

Houston, Texas - The exhibit hall at this year's NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits opened bright and early today in downtown Houston, but not for attendees. More than 550 exhibitors are frantically building their booths in anticipation of this weekend's record crowds.

Aisles that will be packed shoulder-to-shoulder with NRA fans over the next couple days are currently strewn with giant wooden shipping boxes and beeping forklifts. But while the whole thing won't come together until later in the afternoon, some things are all set up and look great.

NRA Foundation Diamondback airboat NRA Annual Meeting

Displays like the NRA-themed Diamondback airboat being auctioned off tonight at the National NRA Foundation Banquet & Auction. Shown off in the front right corner of the exhibit hall, you'll be able to see this in all its glory throughout the weekend, but only one lucky attendee will be able to drive away with it.

Decked out with a Pleasurecraft 550 HP 6.2L supercharged engine and seating for four, this boat is perfect for taking guests (or just yourself) out for some wild rides in shallow waters. Wrapped with a beautiful red white and blue NRA theme, there will be know question where you stand when it comes to our Second Amendment.

The good folks at Diamondback worked tirelessly to handcraft this beauty and it really shows. With any luck we'll be talking about next year's model at the 2014 Annual Meeting in Indianapolis.

And as if being out on the boat to fish, hunt, or joyride isn't enough, a Sony Radio and two Wetsound speakers, amp and subwoofer will have you humming along to your favorite tunes.

If you have one of the much sought after tickets to tonight's National NRA Foundation Banquet & Auction, it'll be a joy to see how much is raised for the shooting sports when this airboat comes out. If you can't make it, don't worry, NRAblog will have all the details.
