It's almost here - the NRA arrives in Houston for a weekend of fun you won't soon forget
Houston, Texas - The NRA has slowly rolled into Houston this week as it prepares for the 142nd NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits.
A record-breaking crowd of well more than 70,000 Second Amendment supporters is expected to show turn up for a weekend of fun and excitement. It feels as though we were just in St. Louis for the 2012 Annual Meeting a month ago, but here we are, preparing to do it all over again.
And of course NRAblog has arrived just in time to capture it all. Whether you're looking to see what's happening as you plan your convention day or can't make it and are following from home, we'll have all the action right here for your viewing pleasure.
Believe us when we say there will be plenty to see. This year's exhibit hall is huge! More than 550 vendors are constructing booths in the over 440,000 square foot hall - sure to give you miles of aisles to wander. On top of all that the weekend features country music concerts, seminars, an air gun range and speaking events from some of the country's best-known personalities.
If you have a smartphone, tap your way over to your app store and get the NRA convention's official app. With it, you can access information quickly and make sure you have an even better time with us here in Houston.
Tomorrow we'll show you just how much of an undertaking it is to construct the exhibit hall and plenty of other behind the scenes pre-convention shots.
It's going to be a great weekend and we hope you can be a part of it.
