There will be plenty of events and excitement at this year's Annual Meetings & Exhibits at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Concerts, book signings, celebrity speakers, rallies and hundreds of booths filled with guns, clothing and outdoor gear. There are also the seminars.

Highlighting everyone from Basic Pistol Instruction to a Hunters Guide to Leasing Property, the National Rifle Association holds seminars at the Annual Meeting to help educate our members on their particular area of interest. One that should not go ignored is the Firearms Law Seminar.

Headlined by the Honorable J. Kenneth Blackwell, best selling author and NRA Board Member, the Firearms Law Seminar is a day long session for attorneys who represent firearms owners and firearms-related businesses to meet and discuss legal issues and theories relevant to this expanding area of the law.

Members of the panel include:

  • George Parnham, Prominent Trial Attorney
  • Charles Cotton, Range Law Expert and NRA Board Member
  • Dr. Theodore Bromund, The Heritage Foundation
  • Robert Dowlut, NRA General Counsel
  • David Goldman and Steven Dulan – experts in their fields
  • Nathan L. Hecht, Texas Supreme Court Justice

Now there is a fee involved. One of attorneys, another for those on active duty and another for, well, others. Check out the Firearms Law Seminar webpage to discover what category you fall in to.

To make the day even more enjoyable, there will be a limited edition Franchi Affinity semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun up for grabs for all who register.

Spend the day with some of the finest firearm legal minds in the United States and walk away with a shotgun ... how's that for starting off an Annual Meeting right?
