NRA's Pistol Department highlights what's new in the lead up to this year's MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup

Fairfax, Virginia - The top pistol shooters in the world will be converging on Columbia, Missouri one month from now - May 22-25 - to compete in the 35th Annual MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup National Championship.

Above is the first episode on this year's Bianchi Cup Preview Show. In it, Tom Hughes & Damien Orsinger of NRA's Pistol Department outline what's new with the Bianchi Cup in 2013.

The second longest pistol championship in the world, this year's Bianchi Cup is set to be the biggest yet. The previous competitor record has already been shattered and more are signing up daily. Sponsors have donated more than $215,000 in cash and over 30 firearms to make sure the weekend's best shooters are justly rewarded.

Doug Koenig captured his 14th title as Bianchi Cup Champion in 2012

Who will win it this year? Well, Doug Koenig did just win his 14th World Famous Silver Bianchi Cup in 2012. But although he makes it look easy, there are plenty of shooters out there who could take the trophy themselves.

And when we say best pistol shooters in the world, we mean it. In 2012, international competitors haled from Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Russia, Switzerland, and the United States.

Stay tuned for more episodes on how exciting this year's Bianchi Cup will truly be.
