NRA Curator's closing out Straight Shooters' Monday on the Sportsman Channel
Alexandria, Virginia - This afternoon marks the beginning of Straight Shooters Week on NRANews. Found between five and six in the afternoon on the Sportsman Channel, Straight Shooter week will focus on the superstars of the NRA and the shooting sports.
Today's agenda features a handful of heavyweights.
First on the agenda is Lt. Colonel Oliver "Ollie" North. An NRA Board Member and true American patriot, Colonel North is headed to NRANews studios to share his experience as host of NRA Life of Duty. With adventures as far south as Columbia and as far east as Afghanistan, NRA Life of Duty highlights those who spend their lives protecting others.
Next is Aaron Lewis. As a solo artist in the Country genre and Lead singer of the rock band Staind, Lewis was named NRA Country's artist of the month for November of 2012
But our focus for the first day of Straight Shooters week will come around 5:35 eastern standard time. That's when National Firearms Museum Director Jim Supica and Senior Curator Philip Schreier are schedule to hit the air.
"They asked if we could perform a live version of Curator's Corner," explained Supica. "As luck would have it, we received a beautiful donation last week that is perfect for the show."
Located in downtown Alexandria, Virginia, NRANews has been carried on Sirius (now Sirius/XM) Satellite Radio for years. This January, they jumped onto the television stage as afternoon lead for the Sportsman Channel this January.
"Live television is always exciting," said Schreier. "You never know what's going to happen next."
