Guns, gear and more from the NRA hunting show's first day

Trophies from the Mason/Dixon Big Buck Contest at the NRA Great American Hunting & Outdoor Show

Frederick, Maryland - Feast your eyes on some photos of the NRA Great American Hunting & Outdoor Show's first day. Hopefully these are just previews of what you'll be seeing in person today or tomorrow. If you unfortunately cant make it, these shots and our coverage throughout the weekend will have to suffice.

This show has it all. Held in seven buildings on the Frederick Fairgrounds, there are over a hundred vendors with anything an outdoors enthusiast could want. Guns, bows, feed, taxidermy, clothing, optical gear, jerky, calls, tractors and more. There's plenty of fun for the whole family between the LaserShot video game, scavenger hunt, or just plain hanging out.

Don't miss out on your chance to learn great fishing and hunting tips from the show's seminars. And you especially don't want to miss out meeting Michael Waddell from Outdoor Channel's Bone Collector.

The show opened at 9:00 this morning and runs until 7:00 tonight. Tomorrow they'll be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday. NRA members (with their membership cards) get in for $8.00, the general public gets in for $10.00. And, wouldn't you know it, anyone who purchases an NRA Membership at the show receives a free weekend pass.
