Friends of NRA's new season starts where it all began with 'Making Friends of 20 Years'

Fairfax, Virginia - Hopefully you've already seen the premiere episode of Friends of NRA's third season and the above video is just a refresher. BUT, if you missed out on Matt and Jessie hitting the road again, you can see what they were up to this past weekend on Outdoor Channel.

Friends of NRA TV host Matt Duff takes a break during a shoot in Wyoming

The Friends of NRA program spent 2012 celebrating its 20th year of protecting our shooting sports heritage. With such a momentous event, could there have been a better kick off to the explosive third season than visiting the dedicated volunteers who started it all? Episode one followed Matt and Jessie to Columbia, Missouri and the MidwayUSA headquarters to learn about the program's beginnings and reflect on the reasons it thrives today.

Later in the episode our hosts found themselves a few hours west at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in St. Louis, Missouri. Filled with 517 exhibitors from the firearm, hunting and outdoor industries, the 2012 Annual Meeting covered more than 340,000 square feet and 3.1 miles of isles. Amid the record setting 73,740 attendees who came out to show their support for the NRA, Matt and Jessie met up with the Friends of NRA Volunteers of the Year and rewarded them with a turkey hunt.

Want to know what's coming up this weekend? The Episode 2 preview is right around the corner - lucky you.

Friends of NRA airs on the Outdoor Channel Sundays at 10:00 PM EST.
