Matt, Jessie, and four-time NPSC champion Robert Vadasz go looking for tarpon off the Florida Coast

Fairfax, Virginia - For this next Friends of NRA memory we're almost going back to the beginning. Episode 2 of the first season saw Matt and Jessie head down south to Florida to pay a visit to US Border Patrol Agent Robert Vadasz. Back in early 2011 Vadasz only had two NRA National Police Shooting Championship titles to his name, but since then he has added two more.

Wanting to make the most out of the time with the NRA champion, the crew went out for a little tarpon fishing off the coast. And wouldn't you know it, but Vadasz hooked one. Matt and Jessie each took turns trying to wear the fish out, but just as Vadasz was reeling the tarpon in it broke off. "She actually fought the fish longer than I did," Matt recalled.

That wasn't all they got into during the episode. After returning to land, the three geared up and took a turn hog hunting in Sarasota.

We'll be sharing more of our favorite Friends of NRA moments from the past two years as we lead up to its return January 6 on Outdoor Channel. What were your favorite things from the first two seasons? Feel free to share them in the comments below.
