Don't delay - download your application for the 2012 NRA Club & Association Awards and mail it in today!

Fairfax, Virginia - Every year, the National Rifle Association recognizes the achievements of our Clubs & Associations. NRA Clubs & Associations from around the nation who excel in the service of their members, their state and their community. But we can only recognize those who apply.

If you are an NRA affiliated club, do yourself a favor, download an application from the Clubs & Associations website and send it in. Here's what you'll be applying for:

  • The Donn C. DiBiasio Outstanding Club Award: presented to the club that has demonstrated noteworthy achievement in all aspects of club operation.
  • The Outstanding Youth Club Award: presented to the club that has demonstrated noteworthy achievement in all aspects of club operation.
  • The Outstanding State Association Award: presented in honor of a State Association's effectiveness in carrying out the purposes and objectives of the National Rifle Association in the state or territory for which the State Association is organized.
  • The Public Service Award: presented to the individual whose volunteer activities have been instrumen- tal in promoting objectives of the NRA on a NATIONAL level or whose activities have had a NATIONAL impact on the shooting sports.

"You have to apply to win," said NRA Clubs & Associations Marketing Manager Son Nguyen. "There are a number of Clubs out there running great programs. But they don't receive the recognition for their work because they never enter.

"Don't second guess yourself. Fill out the application and send it in."

Applications must be postmarked no later then December 1st. That means you have almost three weeks to fill out the application, compile your documentation (newsletters, program schedules, rosters, photographs, news articles, video tapes or DVDs, match schedules and publications) and mail it here to us at NRA Headquarters. Exactly where? Exactly here:

National Manager, Clubs & Associations Department
National Rifle Association
11250 Waples Mill Road
Fairfax, Virginia 22030

As Son said, you have to enter to win. Download the application, pick your award, document your achievements and mail it our way. Once everything arrives, the NRA Awards Subcommittee will go through the entries and pick the winners.

Get to work.
