Salem County Sportmen's Club holds 10th annual NRA Day
Carney's Point, New Jersey - NRA Days are fun-filled family affairs. It's an opportunity to spend the day surrounded with all kinds of shooting sports activities in a safe community environment. Up in New Jersey, at the Salem County Sportsmen’s Club, they held their very own NRA Day this past weekend.
Opening the event with a little cannon fire, this was the 10th Annual Brownells/NRA Day for the Salem County Sportsmen.
Fathers and grandfathers brought out daughters and grandsons for a day in the outdoors. No matter what the discipline, there were plenty of spots and instructors on the rifle range to ensure an afternoon of fun.
But if shotgun was more your speed, then you were in luck. With more than 170 acres of land under their care, there is plenty of room for trap and skeet facilities.
"Oh we get a lot done up here," said on attendee. "We have barbeques, clam bakes, even have a Boy Scout troop come out for their activities."
The accompanying 11-acre Lake Hudson (where the no swimming policy is strictly enforced) comes fully stocked for the fishing enthusiast.
