Next year's ambassadors to the shooting sports almost finalized

The 2012 Brownells/NRA National Youth Shooting Sports Ambassadors meet Frank Brownell at SHOT Show

Our Youth Programs Department is about to announce the 2013 Brownells/NRA National Youth Shooting Sports Ambassadors. These six young men and women are chosen from members of various NRA Youth Cooperative Organizations for their excellence in academics, involvement within their community, and participation in the shooting sports.

The Ambassadors will make their debut at the 2013 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada this January, where they will meet with leaders in the shooting sports industry. Later in the spring they'll travel to the 2013 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, where they will serve as hosts for youth attendees and as representatives of their Youth Cooperative Organizations.

Last year's Ambassadors represented the Boy Scouts of America, the National High School Rodeo Association, USA Shooting, the Royal Rangers, BSA Venturing and the NRA. Who will be represented this year? We'll find out soon enough.

And this program wouldn't be possible without our generous co-sponsors Pete and Frank Brownell of the famed outfitters. We'll have plenty more info on the Ambassadors once they're announced and will be bringing you coverage of their first public outing this winter at SHOT Show.
