Shoot at electronic targets tomorrow at the Original Pennsylvania 1000 Yard Benchrest Club
Williamsport, Pennsylvania - It's a long road from NRA Headquarters to Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Lots of bridges too. And if you're not too careful with Google Maps ... it can be an even longer trip. Least that's what I discovered when make the trip out for tomorrow's Electronic Target event.
Electronic Target events are pretty much what they sound like. Employing the same technology they use in the Olympics, participants are welcome to bring their handguns or rifles out to a neighborhood range for a taste of instant gratification. Pull the trigger, look to right and see what you hit. It doesn't get much easier then that.
Well that's what you can experience at the Original Pennsylvania 1000 Yard Benchrest Club tomorrow between noon and 5. No bringing your own targets, no waiting for the range to go cold so you can gauge your accuracy, just a squeeze of the trigger and a glance over the shoulder. Once you're satisfied with the results, come back to the registration table and we'll print up every hit you scored.
Online registration closed earlier this week, but that doesn't mean we're locking you out of the fun. We only ask that you try to make it there by 2 .... just to be safe. Where exactly? 97 Kelly Road in Trout Run.
So load up your gear and get on your way. Hopefully you have to endure the same 5 hour/260 mile trip that I embarked upon this afternoon. But even if you do ... it'll be worth it.
