NRA prepares for Germany and the 8th Annual World Action Pistol Championship

The 8th Annual NRA World Action Pistol Championship will be held this September in Phillipsburg, Germany. Representing the National Rifle Association will be Competitive Shooting Director NRA's 8th Annual World Action Pistol Championship Dennis Willing, NRA National Pistol Manager Tom Hughes, and a cadre of other NRA personnel.

Joined by world renown American shooters like Doug Koenig, Bruce Piatt, Jessie Duff, Julie Golob and Louis Surgi, Dennis and the crew will spend five days at the Bavarian countryside's Shooting Philippsburg (Middle Way 11 76661). And there promises to be more for the competitors and fans than just the competition.

"They are going to hold a Bavarian style barbeque," said Hughes. "When I was stationed in Germany, I never had the opportunity to attend one of those so I'm looking forward to it."

While there, Hughes promises to send back plenty of photos, videos and scores to keep us up to speed on the competition.
