Port Clinton, Ohio - Practice began for Smallbore competitors this afternoon in preparation for tomorrow's championship. As relay one started the day, thunder could be heard and the sky grew ever darker. After the first group concluded, relay two was forced to take a twenty-minute break as the storm passed. A few minutes of light rain and wind helped cool the temperature and put the competitors at ease. It also prepared the shooters for what seems to be typical Camp Perry weather.
Familiar faces scattered the line. People such as: Tarl and Reya Kempley, last year's 3-Position Champion Joseph Hein, and USAMU paralympic member Joshua Olson. Olson is making a quick pit stop here in Perry before heading over to London for the 2012 Olympics. How's that for devotion!
We will find out over the next few days if SGT Hein can win the 3-Position Championship a second year in a row. Until then, here are a few pictures from today's practice round.
