Port Clinton, Ohio - The preliminary score results are in for the first two matches of the NRA National Rifle and Pistol Championships. The top winners for the Harry Reeves Memorial Revolver and the NRA Distinguished Revolver Matches are posted below. These two matches are the first step in the long and challenging five day journey towards the 2012 NRA Pistol Championship title.

A congratulations goes out to Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Greg Abraham, the winner of this year's Harry Reeves Memorial Revolver Match. Last year's top finisher, James R. Lenardson, took fifth place. However with a score of 274-6X, Lenardson was 17 points off his record-setting score.   

Congratulations also goes out to Civilian Expert shooter Ken Stockton, winner of this year's Distinguished Revolver Match, and Brian Keyser; Keyser placed second in the Distinguished Revolver Match and he also placed third in the Harry Reeve's Memorial Match. 

Please remember that these results are preliminary, but NRAblog will notify of any changes once the challenge period has ended. The Preliminary Pistol Championship matches will begin tomorrow morning at 7:30 and are expected to end around 5:00 PM. NRAblog will keep you updated with photos and scores throughout the day.
