Springfield, Missouri - Our good friends over at Bass Pro Shops have been nice enough to tip the proverbial NASCAR hat in honor of their partnership with the National Firearms Museum this weekend. How so?

They've included an NRA Museum paint scheme on the side of their NASCAR Chevys. A gesture in recognition of the new 10,000 square foot museum the NRA is opening at Bass Pro Shops Headquarters this fall.

Here's a quick snippet from their press release"

Jamie McMurray will drive the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Daytona while Austin Dillon will pilot the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series July 6 and 7 respectively.

“Jamie and Austin are not only racers, but they’re also outdoorsmen and conservationist,” said Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops. “This was an excellent opportunity for us to announce the NRA Museum being at our flag ship store in Springfield.”

"I know that this is an exciting venture for Johnny Morris and all the folks at Bass Pro Shops to have the museum coming to the Springfield Bass Pro Shops store,” commented Jamie McMurray. “I think the NRA Museum paint scheme looks great on our Bass Pro Shops Chevy and I look forward to having a strong showing with it at Daytona.”

So tune in for the NASCAR action this weekend at Daytona. Jamie in the Sprint Cup, Dillon in Nationwide and the NRA (in a few months) at Bass Pro Shops Headquarters in Missouri.
