NRA's Field Representatives work hard throughout the year, constantly driving around the vast distances of their territories to manage and work with Friends of NRA committees.
Next week, they'll be getting a break from it all at the 2012 Field Operations Division Annual Planning Meeting.
Twice a year, once at the end and once half-way through, all of the NRA Field Reps gather to go over the last half year, plan for the next half, and get training in any new services or products.
The winter meeting is always held at NRA Headquarters, but the mid-year meeting moves around and this year the Field Reps will find themselves in Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.
Although it'll be a relaxing atmosphere and it will be one of the two times a year many Reps get to hang out, the days will be filled with various workshops and updates on Event Services, Insurance, Clubs & Associations, Database Administration, Grants, and much more.
Reps will even begin going over merchandise packages for the 2013 banquet season, which will be completed and announced in December at the annual Merchandise Preview.
This is all done for our NRA supporters. This is about more than making Friends of NRA banquets more enjoyable - which itself is very important. These Field Reps are dedicated to their work, making sure it reaches the right people to help them enjoy the Second Amendment to the fullest.
There won't be a lot of Friends of NRA banquets coming up in the next month. July is a big month for vacations and potential attendees dwindle as beaches become more crowded. The NRA volunteers, who are invaluable to making banquets work, are people too and need a well deserved break themselves. Friends of NRA banquets will be coming back full force in August, though, so be prepared.
