Colton Cerino wearing his Original SWAT boots at the NRA Bianchi CupColumbia, Missouri - When you’re on the range, having sturdy, comfortable footwear is important whether you’re training or competing. That certainly rings true here at the Bianchi Cup, and no one understands that better than Original SWAT, one of the leaders in tactical footwear.

Last month, we brought you the news that Original SWAT would sponsor four shooters for the 2012 MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup, providing them with boots for the competition and paying their entry fees.

To be in the running for this one of a kind sponsorship, competitors had to send Original SWAT their story and tell them why their boots would help them at the Bianchi Cup. One of the lucky four to be selected was 15 year-old Colton Cerino, son of Top Shot’s Chris Cerino.

Colton first competed at the Bianchi Cup alongside his father last year, but in 2012 he’s got a little more pep in his step thanks to Original SWAT.

“They’re just about the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn,” said Colton of his Original SWAT footwear. “They’re going to help me in competitive shooting because the traction is great.”

In addition to competing in action pistol matches like the Bianchi Cup, Colton has also started shooting in other forms of competitive shooting alongside his father including 3-gun and long range rifle competitions. He's looking forward to using his Original SWAT boots to help give him the competitive edge in those matches as well.

As a side note, I received a pair of Original SWAT boots this year and I agree with Colton when I say that they are the most comfortable pair of tactical-style boots I’ve ever owned.
