Kentucky Derby excitement followed by Hunting Fashion Show

Women's Outdoor Adventurers don their Derby hats to watch the Kentucky Derby

Park City, Kentucky - Ladies of NRA's Women's Outdoor Adventure celebrated the running of the Kentucky Derby in high style last night. Although unable to make the trip to Churchill Downs, they reveled in the racing spirit while donning their Derby hats on race day. Upon entering the room, each woman chose a rose bearing the name of a horse running in the Derby. Picking the right name was of great importance.

Thanks to a generous donation by Charter Arms, those holding a rose with the name of a top three finisher (I'll Have Another, Bodemeister and Dullahan) won a .38 special revolver. That honor went to Frances, Michelle and Donna ... now the proud owners of the three Charter Arms pistols pictured below.

But the fun didn't end at the finish line – not with a hunting apparel fashion show waiting to start. Highlighted by clothing from Prois and Good Shot Design along with jewelry by The Elegant Huntress, the ladies received a firsthand look at the latest styles and trends in outdoor accoutrements.

We'll have those photos for you tomorrow, so check back then for more from the final days of the 2012 NRA Women's Outdoor Adventure.
