Top Shot Greg Littlejohn posing with Angela Barrett of Barrett Firearms at the NRA Convention.
While at the NRA Convention in St. Louis, I talked with Top Shot finalist Gregory Littlejohn about his firearms background — this is what he had to say:
"Started shooting when I was three years old with my father. Pellet guns, .22, BB guns. Then it moves in to rifles, pistols, bow and arrows … all for hunting or plinking purposes. Soda cans or paper targets. Then I joined the military, was in it for nine years. I was security forces … basically an MP so I had to be certified on all the (firearms) that we could carry. It's a long list.
".203, M9 Beretta, M16A2, M16A1, M4, M870 shotgun, the 240, 249, M60, M2, Mark 19 … the list goes on and on. It's all for providing security for the convoys. So I have a broad spectrum of (firearms) experience. I was also a Firearms Instructor. And then, after I separate from the Air Force in 2007, I went into Federal Law Enforcement.
"There I carry a semi-automatic every day. I'm trained on an MP5, M870 shotgun again or Remington 870, Mossberg 500 - you name the tactical shotguns and I've got time on 'em.
"I've been full on, dealing with guns for a long time. "
