Ladies arrive at the Rockcastle Shooting Center for the NRA Women's Outdoor Adventure

Park City, Kentucky - We're here at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City to bring you live coverage of the very first NRA Women's Outdoor Adventure. Created by NRA's Women's Programs Department, the Adventure is taking twenty ladies from across the country through an eight-day exploration of the outdoors and shooting sports with personalized instruction from world-class shooters and instructors — and it all kicks off tonight.

After arriving and registering this morning, the group's first activity is a course aimed at helping them improve personal safety strategies. A hybrid seminar of NRA's Refuse To Be A Victim® program and the Personal Protection in the Home training will help participants learn new concepts and techniques for protecting themselves and how to reduce their chances of being victimized.

Later this evening, the women will enjoy a meet and greet with event staff and get their first chance to sign up for exciting outdoor activities including zip lining, horseback riding, canoeing, golf, and tours of the famous Mammoth Cave. Stay tuned, because we'll have photos, video, and more coverage of the Women's Outdoor Adventure throughout the week.
