Beaumont, Texas – Mike Fuljenz, President of Universal Coin & Bullion of Beaumont, Texas, the Official Bullion and Rare Coin Dealer of the National Rifle Association, is a corporate sponsor for the 2012 MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup National Championship. The competition will be held in Columbia, Missouri, May 23 – 26.
“The Bianchi Cup is one of the most prestigious shooting tournaments in the world, and we are proud to sponsor the 2012 Bianchi Cup Falling Plate Event,” said award winning author and consumer advocate Michael Fuljenz, President of Universal Coin & Bullion.
Said Damien Orsinger, Pistol Program Coordinator of the NRA, "The Falling Plate Event is one of the four events in the Bianchi Cup tournament. Shooters fire at eight-inch round steel plates arranged in banks of six at distances ranging from 10 to 25 yards and under varying time limits. We're proud to have Mike Fuljenz and Universal Coin sponsor this event. Their commitment to the NRA and the 2012 MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup goes to show Universal Coin and Bullion is a firm supporter of our second amendment rights, and of the shooting sports as a whole."
The Bianchi Cup originated in 1979 as a law enforcement training match, and is named after former police officer John Bianchi, an executive of holster maker Bianchi International.
“The Bianchi Cup attracts some of the top youth, law enforcement, decorated military, shooting industry and civilian competitors in the world. That’s why we support this event. One of our primary goals as a company is to support the men and women who protect our freedoms, including the right to own guns and gold” said Michael Fuljenz. As a 100 Club, life member and supporter of law enforcement, Mr. Fuljenz also supports the NRA’s Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program for kids and works with the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
